In this dynamic position, you will engage with donors, adopters, and the community to advance our fundraising efforts, assist with executing donor engagement strategies, and ensure the smooth operation of development activities. As part of our development team, you’ll manage stewardship programs, organize donor communications, support events, and help maintain accurate donor records in our CRM. Your administrative expertise will also be key in ensuring productive internal communication, meeting coordination, and tracking department budgets. Purpose of Position: The Development Associate will engage donors, adopters, and the community in advancing the organizational mission. The position supports and assists with executing all aspects of Dumb Friends League Development strategies including growth in new donor acquisition, increasing donor retention, benefits fulfillment, donor communications and engagement strategies, and ensuring productive and efficient departmental communication processes to maximize resources and broaden fundraising capacity. The Development Associate will provide support and key activations to ensure efficient operations and assist in reaching revenue and community stewardship goals.

Summary: The ASPCA Animal Hospital (AAH) is designed to provide life-saving care and relieve suffering for animal victims of cruelty and neglect who come to us through internal partners (our own ASPCA adoption center, kitten nursery, and community advocate team) and external partners (NYPD and other NYC organizations). Additionally, we provide subsidized care exclusively for animals whose owners are experiencing financial challenges and could not otherwise afford medical care for their pet. The ASPCA Animal Hospital (AAH) Licensed Veterinary Technicians are passionate, level-headed nurses committed to animals living good lives, and who excel in a fast-paced environment. Our nursing staff collaborates effectively with the entire veterinary medical team to provide high quality, practical veterinary care and deliver skilled, efficient, and compassionate treatment to outpatients and hospitalized patients within hospital medical parameters. In addition, AAH nurses provide support and coverage for the Animal Recovery Center (ARC) as needed. The ASPCA Animal Hospital (AAH), is passionate about minimizing fear, anxiety, and stress and pain in our patients. Team members in this position are responsible for providing service and communication to clients, members of the public, co-workers, and patients that is consistent with our practice’s standards and Fear Free values. * This is an overnight schedule (13 hour shifts/3 days weekly). Thursday, Friday, Saturday 9p-10a or Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 8p-9a.
