Description
Animal Rescue Coalition is looking for passionate Veterinarians who enjoy working with animals and are able to provide quality care within our facilities. We would love to meet you!
Relief Veterinarian needed for high volume spay and neuter clinic. May be asked to perform surgeries or to provide wellness appointments.
- Completes 25+ sterilization surgeries on dogs and cats per surgical shift. Candidate may intially be mentored by a more experienced vet if requested to increase capacity.
- Follows best practices on pre-, peri-, and post-operative care.
- Provides confident and clear direction to veterinary technicians and veterinary assistants.
- Oversees all aspects of assigned patients, including but not limited to: physical examination; surgery; pre- and post-operative care; anesthetic protocols; patient monitoring; and emergency response.
- Supervises handling and recording of controlled substances by Veterinary Technicians.
- Supervises and documents post-operative rechecks and orders medical treatments, as necessary, to ensure complete surgical recovery.
- Assesses individual patient issues and provides sensible and compassionate solutions.
- Maintains open communication with the Executive Director and Clinic Manager, apprising them of any patient issues and concerns.
- Communicates issues regarding the clinic’s disease control protocols, surgical protocols, or other medical issues to the Executive Director or Clinic Manager.
- Models a standard of continual commitment to improvement in all aspects of organizational operations and handling of dogs and cats.

Salary: $800.00 - $1,000.00 per day
