Salary Range: $94,716.00 - $105,241.00 Salary/year

The Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) is looking for a full-time veterinarian that will split time between our Milwaukee Campus and Spay/Neuter Clinic in West Allis. You will make an impact by supporting animals at our Milwaukee Campus, as well as animals and their awesome families at our Spay/Neuter Clinic. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performing high-volume, high-quality, safe spay/neuter surgeries for shelter and public animals
- Perform other surgeries as needed for shelter animals
- Ensuring safe, effective and efficient medical processes from check in to discharge, including follow up
- Vaccinating animals and providing quality medical screenings
- Monitoring the daily health of client and shelter animals
- Providing medical information to clients and answer questions as needed
- Develop and implement treatment plans as needed for animals in shelter and foster
- Providing direction to medical support staff
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- DVM degree and license required; high volume spay/neuter or shelter medicine experience preferred

The Wisconsin Humane Society is the oldest and largest shelter in Wisconsin. Founded in 1879, WHS operates shelters in Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Kenosha, Door, Brown, and Kenosha Counties, as well as a Spay/Neuter Clinic in West Allis. The organization offers adoption services, youth and outreach programs, veterinary resources for the community, retail stores, volunteer programs, and dog training classes.
