Veterinarian
Description
The ideal candidate must be trained in HQHVSN, they should be able to perform 25 - 30 SN/day must be licensed in the State of Florida. They should also be experienced in general small animal practice or shelter medicine. A full-time candidate is strongly preferred. Our veterinarians are also asked to do wellness visits offering Basic Veterinary Care. Our focus is on patient care while helping to end animal over population & unnecessary euthanasia in pets. Competitive pay, (negotiable), as well as a relocation stipend.
Responsibilities:
1. Examine animals pre-op to determine their ability to withstand surgery.
2. Perform surgical sterilizations using proper high-quality techniques.
3. Examine animals post-op as necessary to ensure appropriate healing.
4. Inoculate animals and provide recommendations for follow up care.
5. Supervise post-op rechecks and order of medical treatments as necessary to ensure complete surgical recovery.
6. Provide a safe and compassionate environment for animals in our care, our staff, and for our clients by using low-stress handling techniques
