Description
Position Requirements:
- Commitment to humane treatment of animals
- Good customer service skills.
- Familiarity with SAFER and Feline-ality Assessments.
- Knowledge of health, behavioral conditions, body language and animal handling.
- Knowledge of veterinary medical terms and processes; or willingness to learn.
- Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures and safety standards.
- Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management skills and prioritize workload.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Successful organizational skills.
- Possess effective teamwork skills and effective communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, and over 50 lbs. with assistance.
Qualifications:
- A certification from an accredited dog training academy. CPDT-KA or willingness to attain certification within the first 2 years of employment preferred.
- Associates degree or above preferred.
- 1-3 years’ experience working in the companion animal field.
- Valid driving license and clean driving record.
- Knowledge of Pet Point system a plus; basic computer experience required.
