Effective leadership is critical to the future of animal welfare. As our field evolves and a new generation of leaders emerges, organizations that provide training and support to upcoming leaders will have a significant edge in fulfilling their missions and building healthy organizational culture. This seminar is for the next generation of animal welfare leaders: staff or volunteer leaders who are new to a leadership role or are on a leadership track. This seminar will equip participants with a deeper understanding of their own leadership and communication style, and provide the opportunity to learn and practice new skills in conflict negotiation, servant leadership, and collaborative decision-making. The seminar is taught by Emancipet New School VP, Myles Chadwick, and Emancipet Director of HR, Cindy Gunderson.
Cost per person: $500 (includes all materials, breakfast and lunch on both days)
Who Should Attend: aspiring leaders on the management career track or new managers with less than 10 years in a leadership role
