Description
You will be supported by a well-trained and efficient technical staff. There may be another volunteer or contract veterinarian working with you depending on the number of surgeries planned for the day. The average number of spays/neuters performed each day is 35 surgeries per veterinarian.
Qualifications:
- Possess a current Oregon state veterinary license in good standing.
- Prefer a veterinarian who has worked at a HVHQSN clinic for at least one year.
- Able to perform a feline ovariohysterectomy in approximately 10 minutes or less and a feline castration in under 3 minutes following FCCO surgical protocols.
- Ability to spay/neuter up to 40 cats in a four-to-five-hour shift.
- Willing and able to follow existing FCCO protocols and procedures.
- The ability to maintain a professional demeanor during stressful situations.
- Able to stand for more than 4 hours and perform repetitive movements.
- Display a positive attitude and work cooperatively in a team environment.
