We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join our team. As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality medical care to our animal patients. Duties: ● Perform high volume surgical procedures on animals, including 20-30 spay and neuter procedures a day ● Conduct thorough examinations of animals to diagnose medical conditions and develop treatment plans ● Prescribe medications and administer treatments to animals as needed ● Provide guidance and support to veterinary technicians and other staff members ● Collaborate with other veterinarians and specialists to ensure comprehensive care for patients ● Educate pet owners on proper animal care, including nutrition, exercise, and preventative measures ● Maintain accurate medical records for all patients ● Stay up-to-date with advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities Skills: ● Proficient in various veterinary surgical techniques and procedures ● Knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy ● Strong diagnostic skills to accurately identify medical conditions ● Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and staff members ● Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately ● Experience with laboratory procedures and interpretation of test results ● Familiarity with practice management software for record keeping and scheduling Requirements: ● Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school ● Valid license to practice veterinary medicine in the state ● Prior experience as a Veterinary Surgeon is preferred but not required.
