Mike and Kim Elliott, the owners of “Niki's Place” are reopening the doors after some revamping and wonderful updates that were made to the hospital. With over 300 appointments on the books in anticipation of the opening, the local community is looking forward to all that Niki's Place has to offer and is interested in having you join them as their new lead veterinarian. I wanted to share some highlights of the position with you so please take a look at the following and let me know your availability over the coming days as the Elliotts are looking forward to meeting with you in person. - Perform 8 to 15 high quality spay/neuter surgeries, including the possibility of in-heat, pregnant, cryptorchid and pediatric animals.
- Perform all care related to the surgery including preoperative, perioperative, and postoperative care.
- Oversee vaccinations appointments as needed.
- Oversee any postoperative rechecks, as needed, and provide appropriate medical care.
- Oversee dental cleaning appointments, dental cleanings and perform needed dental extractions.
- Make reasonable and sensible medical decisions and be a critical thinker.
- Be a team player, personable, patient, flexible, proactive, enthusiastic, and able to interact well with a variety of people.
- Ability to work independently and use judgment within established guidelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Must be on the premise license due to owner of Niki’s Place not a licensed veterinarian. Will be paid an extra $150 monthly above normal wages.
- Must have a current DEA license to use to purchase controlled drugs through distributors. Will be paid an extra $100 monthly above normal wages.
- Other duties as assigned.
Overview of Benefits:
Stipend to cover medical insurance.
All services for personal pets will be at no charge.
Full cost CE and professional License reimbursement.
